Marissa Hedges

Marissa has been a loyal student of Debbie Rae Dancers since 2013, training extensively across all genres. Since joining the teaching team in 2021, she has blossomed as a choreographer and has created many award-winning solos and troupes for junior students. 

Miss Marissa is absolutely loved by her students at both our Thornton and Medowie studios and is especially popular with our Baby Dynamites who look up to her as a role model. Her caring nature, enthusiasm and dedication help her students thrive both in class and on stage. 

As a performer, Marissa has received numerous awards and recognition at both regional and national levels, including Top 5 Dancer of the Year (DOTY) at Showcase Nationals. She has completed her RAD Ballet exams with High Distinctions and achieved Gold Awards in her GWT exams. Recently, she completed her HSC with two callback nominations for her Major and Core Performances.

Marissa plays a huge part in our DRD family and is an inspiration to every student she teaches.
