Jennifer Burrows

Jenny's dance journey began at the age of 5 with her sister, when their Mother decided it was time to put all their energy into something useful. Off to ‘The Debbie Rae School of Dancing’ and it was here where Jenny trained extensively in tap, jazz, song & dance and studied RAD ballet under Karen Thomas and Carla Morgan. Jenny had outstanding potential from the very beginning and went on to win countless scholarships & championships throughout her childhood.  

In 1999, Jenny started teaching alongside Debbie and hasn’t looked back since. She is extremely loyal, passionate and lives to see the growth and improvement in her students. Her award winning choreography is second to none in a wide range of genres, particularly her clever flair for Musical Comedy. 

Taking on the role of appointed director at the DRD Medowie Studio in 2006, Jenny's dedication is evident in the studio's flourishing growth. With Jenny’s leadership, it has become a hub for upcoming talents and she absolutely loves providing a fun & safe dance space for the Medowie community. 

As well as teaching, Jenny has performed professionally as a triple threat in many Theatre shows including Kings Theatre in Newcastle, ‘Crazy for You’ and ‘A Chorus Line’ in the local arts scene. She was also fortunate to dance for The Veronica’s in their Newcastle shows 'Hook Me Up’ & ‘Revenge is Sweeter’ tours.
